Smashed Potatoes

Smashed Potatoes

This week was a little hectic for me so I did not have a lot of time for cooking. I decided to try and make a meal with the little time I was given. I had some potatoes laying around so I decided to make "Smashed Potatoes" found on page 339 of the red Bittman book. The recipe was very simple and did not require much of my attention. All that was required for the recipe was boil the potatoes until tender and then smash with a fork.

After the potatoes were smashed, I put on some cheese, butter, and sour cream. This was not the most gourmet meal I have eaten but it filled me up. This is nice to make if a person is short on time and has some extra potatoes.
