We're cooking now!

As the lab instructor for this class, I found yesterday's first real day of cooking thrilling!  I tried to capture the participants in action because to me that is the essence of what we are doing together!  Look at what we created with a few basic ingredients, our hands, and some creative license.  Everything, from the beginning all the way to the artfully composed plates at meal time are an indication that with a little inspiration, intention and guidance, we can all build a foundation for simple, affordable, wholesome and delicious meals.  This is a critical link in the larger food system, one which I hope to have a hand at bringing back to our communities, our institutions and our lives!
